Watermark

Local half-tone, a drawing of a fragment from the main image on the banknote’s front.

image description

Security thread

Metallic thread of a windowed type that emerges on the front paper surface in the form of rectangles. When viewing the banknote against the light the security thread is seen as solid dark line with the negative (light) text, both in a direct and inverse viewing.

image description

See–through register mark

A fragment on the averse of the banknote, when held up to the light, is filled with color from the elements on the back, forming a perfect single image of the banknote’s denomination.

image description

MASK ™

A comprehensive security element combining two images made by different printing processes. The lower image is performed in offset printing, the upper image – in intaglio. The upper image can be seen in the reflected light (a geometric pattern), the lower one (the banknote’s denomination) is revealed against the light.

image description

Latent image

Letters "РБ" are visible when the banknote is held up to the light at an acute viewing angle.

image description

Intaglio printing

The main image of the banknote’s front, denomination value in figures and letters, text "НАЦЫЯНАЛЬНЫ БАНК РЭСПУБЛІКІ БЕЛАРУСЬ" and the marking for people with impaired vision ("blind code") are raised and can be easily detected by touch.

Security pattern

Thin antireplicating lines are printed on the white surface.
