The coin is round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is reeded.

Obverse: at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus (in the center) and a circumferential inscription: РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center – the stylized image of a heart the surface of which is textured with flying butterflies with inscriptions written along the heart in four languages (Belarusian, Russian, English, and Polish): МАЁ СЭРЦА, МОЕ СЕРДЦЕ, MY HEART, MOJE SERCE (MY HEART); at the bottom – the denomination: 20 РУБЛЁЎ (20 RUBLES), the year of issue, the alloy standard, and the trademark of the Mint of Poland PLC.

Reverse: on the surface textured with twigs, flowers, and butterflies – the stylized image of a heart inlaid with three synthetic crystals.
