The coins are round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coins’ edge is grained.

Obverse

at the top — the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center — the stylized image of a stage; inscriptions: at the top — a circumferential inscription: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom — the denomination: 10 РУБЛЁЎ (10 RUBLES) on the silver coin and 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE) on the copper-nickel one; on the left side — the year of issue; and on the right side (on the silver coin) — the alloy standard.

Reverse

in the center, against the decorative background — the portrait of I. Bujnitski, a Belarusian actor and theatre worker; on the right side — the stylized image of a stage and a fragment of the theatrical performance with participation of I. Bujnitski and his daughter; and at the bottom — circumferential inscriptions: І. БУЙНІЦКІ (I. BUJNITSKI) and the years of his birth and death 1861–1917.
