The coins are round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coins’ edge bears the inscription: 400 ГАДОЎ ПРАБЫВАННЯ ЦУДАТВОРНАГА АБРАЗА МАЦİ БОЖАЙ У БУДСЛАВЕ (400-YEAR STAY OF THE MIRACULOUS ICON OF THE VIRGIN MARY IN BUDSLAU).

Obverse

at the top — the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center — the picture of the Budslau’s Roman Catholic church with the border around it bearing the inscription: САНКТУАРЫЙ МАЦİ БОЖАЙ У БУДСЛАВЕ (THE SANCTUARY OF THE VIRGIN MARY IN BUDSLAU); circumferential inscriptions against the ornamental band: at the top — РЭСПУБЛİКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom — the year of issue in the right side, the alloy standard on the silver coin in the left side, and in the center — the denomination: 10 РУБЛЁЎ (10 RUBLES) on the silver coin and 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE) on the copper-nickel one.

Reverse

in the center — the picture of the icon with the border around it bearing the inscription: МАЦİ БОЖАЯ БУДСЛАЎСКАЯ (THE ICON OF THE VIRGIN MARY OF BUDSLAU); and the ornamental pattern along the rim.
