The coins are rectangular in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coins’ edge is reeded.

Obverse

in the centre — the ornamental pattern in the form of the grapevine symbolizing the Theotokos with the representation of the cross therein which was erected in the territory of Zaslavl’s stronghold to commemorate the thousandth anniversary of the Orthodox Church in Belarus and the alloy standard; at the top — the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and the inscription in two lines: РЭСПУБЛİКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); and at the bottom — the denominations: 20, 50, 500 and 1000 РУБЛЁЎ (20, 50, 500 and 1,000 RUBLES) and the year of issue to the right of the denomination.

Reverse

in the center – the image of the Most Holy Theotokos of Iveron; beneath – the images of angels and inscriptions in the Greek language; on the coins with denominations of 20, 500 и 1,000 rubles the images of apostles and evangelists: Petr, John, Mark, Andrew, James, Thomas, Pavel, Mathew, Luke, Simon, Bartholomew, and Philip against the stylized image of the grapevine on either side are represented; on silver coins with denominations of 20 and 500 rubles the representations of halos above the Saviour, the Theotokos, apostles and evangelists, as well as the star on the Theotokos’s cloths are gold-plated; at the bottom — the inscription: ІВЕРСКАЯ (OF IVERON).
