The coins are round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coins’ edge
is grained.


at the top — the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center — the image of the damaged watch with its hands stopped at the time when Nazi invaders started active military operations in the territory of Belarus; and circum ferential inscriptions — at the top: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), beneath — the alloy standard shown on the silver coin, and denomination: 20 РУБЛЁЎ (20 RUBLES) on the silver coin and 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE) on the copper-nickel coin, and the year of issue.
