The coins are round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coins’ edge is grained.
Obverse
in the center — the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus against the background of a handball; circumferential inscriptions: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS) at the top, and 100 РУБЛЁЎ (100 RUBLES) and 20 РУБЛЁЎ (20 RUBLES) respectively at the bottom; and the alloy standard to the left and the year of issue to the right of denomination.
Reverse
in the center — the pictogram of Tower Bridge (London, Great Britain is the site of the 2012 Olympic Games) and a pictographic image of two players in attack and in defence against the background of a handball; beneath — an inscription in two lines: АЛIМПIЙСКIЯ ГУЛЬНI 2012 (THE 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES); at the bottom — a circumferential inscription: ГАНДБОЛ (HANDBALL).
