The coins are round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coins’ edge is grained.
Obverse
at the top — the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and a circumferential inscription: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center — the stylized composition showing menorah, one of Judaic symbols; at the bottom — the denomination: 10 РУБЛЁЎ (10 RUBLES) on the silver coin and 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE) on the copper-nickel one; on the right side — the year of issue; and on the left side — the alloy standard on the silver coin.
Reverse
in the center — the representation of the Volozhyn yeshiva building and circumferential inscriptions: at the top — ІУДАІЗМ (JUDAISM) and at the bottom — ВАЛОЖЫНСКАЯ ІЕШЫВА (VALOZHYN YESHIVA).
