Coins are round. The rim is raised on both sides of the coin. The edge of the coin is corrugated .
Obverse
at the top – the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center – the relief of the order of the Patriotic war (enamel of red and white color on silver coin); beneath: year of issue, silver coin – fine silver alloy standard; inscriptions along the rim – at the top: " РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ " (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom: " ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ " (TWENTY ROUBLES) on the silver coin and " АДЗІН РУБЕЛЬ " (ONE ROUBLE) on the copper–nickel coin.
Reverse
in the center – image of partisans against a background of exploded permanent way; in the right–hand part – inscription "60 ГОД" (60 YEARS); along the rim – inscription "ВЫЗВАЛЕННЕ БЕЛАРУСІ АД НЯМЕЦКА–ФАШЫСЦКІХ ЗАХОПНІКАЎ" (LIBERATION OF BELARUS FROM GERMAN–FASCIST INVADERS).
